With a life-long desire to help others, more recently help others “bring forth their better self”, Joy is honored to serve as Life Coach and Consultant. Her strong personal commitment to service, coupled with her warmth, compassion, training and a myriad of professional experiences, (nonprofit leader, school administrator, classroom teacher, virtual teacher, and manager in a corporate setting), provide the support needed for clients to optimize their efforts and reach their goals.
As an educator and school administrator, Joy specialized in working with underperforming students. These students, often intelligent and highly creative, typically struggled with habits and behaviors that sabotaged their efforts and undermined their desired academic achievements. Joy helped these students develop skills needed for immediate and lifetime success -- planning and prioritizing, organization, time management, task initiation, sustained attention, goal directed persistence, problem solving, impulse control, flexibility, working memory, self-monitoring, and staying on track.
As a non-profit leader, Joy specialized in strategic and cultural communications and messaging, both internal and external, in support of the CEO and company values, priorities and concerns. In that role, Joy learned that well-written words are a powerful force that can inspire, motivate, encourage, heal and effect change for the greater good.
